Sam Paris, LCSW
Sam Paris is a psychotherapist specializing in the treatment of complex trauma and PTSD. He has over 10 years of experience using EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and somatic interventions to address various forms of trauma. While some trauma is overt, such as PTSD, other traumas can be hidden behind depression or anxiety. Emotional traumas can also arise from being raised by parents or guardians with personality disorders. He believes in creating a relatable and safe space to work through the toughest parts of our past.
Sam is passionate about helping people overcome their struggles, instilling hope to make meaning out of past pains, and supports his patients to lead emotionally and mentally healthier lives. He uses psychodynamic and relatable approaches to join in the healing process, uproot negative beliefs, increase self-esteem, and improve relationships.
Sam graduated from New York University's Silver School of Social Work and has extensive experience working with individuals, couples, families, and groups to help facilitate change and healing. He understands the struggles that result from severe trauma and will work diligently to help patients achieve their full potential.
Elena Del Busto, MD
Dr. Elena del Busto is an ABPN Board certified psychiatrist and Clinical Associate at the University of Pennsylvania in the Department of Psychiatry. She practices in the greater Philadelphia area specializing in Sleep Medicine, Addictions, and Forensic Psychiatry. In addition she is trained in the combined use of psychotherapy and psychopharmacology in the treatment of a variety of psychiatric disorders including, but not limited to depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, and psychotic disorders. Dr. del Busto believes in using evidence-based medicine and personalized treatment plans to optimize outcomes and improve her patients’ mental health.
Dr. del Busto earned her undergraduate training at Barnard College and obtained her medical degree from Drexel University in 2005. After her psychiatry residency training at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Dr. del Busto completed a Sleep Medicine Fellowship from Thomas Jefferson University and a Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. del Busto is triple-board certified in General Psychiatry, Addiction Medicine, and Forensic Psychiatry; she is also board eligible in Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Elena del Busto is actively involved in the education of medical students as well as academic research and publications. She has presented her research at the University of Pennsylvania, Thomas Jefferson Hospital, and other institutions throughout the Philadelphia area. In addition, she has authored multiple peer reviewed articles, book chapters, and has presented her research in conferences world-wide. She has received multiple awards in acknowledgment for her achievements in academic research and teaching.
